Just a couple of photos to post from our outing yesterday - we didn't manage to capture the baby ducks on camera, as David's taken our camera to snap while house-hunting, and my phone is pretty slow, especially while holding dripping ice-creams in both hands!

Hi, just thought I'd test things out here as people have been having trouble. Can't seem to find the problem thought, uploaded picture just fine. Is everyone having problems?

More of the sparrowhawk

I seem to be on a roll, so I shall take advantage of it to post another picture of the sparrowhawk.

I thought I would try to put up another picture. This time it's a picture of our family as we managed to get together for lunch on Easter Monday. The problem seems to have been cleared as this picture seemed to upload with no problem.

Sparrowhawk

Last Monday Eva was working in the garden when she heard a loud noise. To her surprise she saw that a sparrowhawk had taken a pigeon and was sitting on our lawn eating it. She called me and I took several still pictures and some movie footage of it from the conservatory. The bird seemed unpreturbed by the cameras. We had a sparrowhawk (the same one?) take a mouse from the garden a year or so ago, but that time it just flew off with it. I always thought that they took prey to their nest to eat or feed their chicks. This time, perhaps it was disinclined to share.

I have had difficulties posting to the blog. This is why there is only one picture. I shall try to put one or two more up later, if I can.

AFOM

It's official. I read the letter correctly and I did pass the exams. I finally recived my certificate so it's definitely true. Now I might dare ask for my marks because they can't ask for the certificate back! Up until now I've been slightly afraid to ask in case they realised they'd made a mistake. 21 months and 1 set of exams down, just another 51 months, 20,000 words and another set of exams to go.

We had what these days is an all too rare occasion where we managed to get the family together at Easter and to take a reasonable set of photos. Two of these are shown here. The one on the stairs is one that is a composite of two of the best. I hope you cannot identify the separate bits form the two photos.
